Hugo Bardallo
Hugo Bardallo (1936–2023) was a prominent Uruguayan actor, theater director, and drama teacher, widely regarded as a pivotal figure and influential mentor for multiple generations within his country's performing arts. Throughout his prolific stage career, he combined acting and directing with an intensive dedication to teaching, joining the faculty of the Multidisciplinary School of Dramatic Art (EMAD) in 1989, where he left an enduring mark. On the big screen, he appeared in notable national films, forging an artistic legacy defined by his versatility, ethical commitment, and lifelong dedication to Uruguayan culture until his passing at age 87.
